Privacy policy
This notice explains what VideoNote at videonote.in collects, why, how long it is kept, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. VideoNote is an OrbitalSpace product, based in India. OrbitalSpace is the data fiduciary for this service.
What we collect and why

Card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay and never reach us. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or advertising cookies.
Consent
Using VideoNote after seeing the notice under the video link box, or clicking Sign in, is your consent to the processing described here for those purposes only. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data (below) and stopping use; withdrawal does not affect processing already done.
What stays on your device
Your notes, transcripts, chats and recent videos are saved only in your own browser storage.
Who processes data for us, and where
- Groq, speech to text and AI text (United States)
- Google Firebase, sign in (Google global infrastructure)
- Razorpay, payments (India)
- Upstash, usage counters and Pro records (United States)
- Vercel, hosting (global, United States based)
- Cloudflare, security and delivery (global)
Each processes only what it needs for its part of the service, under its own security and privacy terms.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, get a summary of processing, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
- Signed in: use Download my data or Delete my data in the account menu. Deletion ends any Pro pass.
- Not signed in: clear your browser storage to remove the device ID and your notes. Usage counts expire by themselves within about a day.
- Anything else: email the grievance contact below.
Children
You must be 18 or older, or use VideoNote with the permission of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly create accounts for or sell Pro to children without a parent or guardian's permission, and we do not track, profile or target ads at anyone.
Security and breaches
Data is encrypted in transit, access to systems is restricted, and network IDs are scrambled with a rotating secret. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Grievance Officer, OrbitalSpace, [email protected]. We acknowledge requests within 2 working days and resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
